President Gee cites ACCAD in end of year Speech to the Faculty.
OSU President Gordon Gee, in his annual Speech to the Faculty, held up ACCAD as shining example of multidisciplinary research and collaboration at our great research university. "Ohio State is the nation’s most comprehensive research university, and faculty and students use our breadth to great advantage. Think of the trans-institutional, multi-disciplinary work in biofuels and biomaterials. Or visual artists, choreographers, musicians, and computer scientists collaborating through the University’s Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design." The President went on to say that "Truly extraordinary work happens here every day -- in classrooms, laboratories, and studios. Indeed, the work of Ohio State’s faculty and students is taking place at every moment, around the world! Now is the time to gain broader recognition for that remarkable work. For what has been -- and what can be – realized at Ohio State. Now is precisely the moment to capitalize on that position of strength."
