Stages of Age: Performing Age in Contemporary American Culture to be released. The book traces how aging has been constructed in the United States during the twentieth century and how eight different performers interpret the transitions. The book studies Geritol Frolics, Grandparents Living Theatre, Roots and Branches, Elders Share the Arts as well as performance arts. The book promotes the use of theatre to celebrate aging as a lifelong, dynamic process. It is available from University of Michigan Press.
